Pig
PIG
Betty Jean Skufca 1982

In the barn down on the farm
Are piggies pink and smooth
Some are tame and have a name
They're in a different groove.

Let's take a trip upon a ship
To where tall grasses grow
There we'll find a fiercer kind
He's not the pig you know.

You'll much admire the sparks of fire
That jump right out at you
From tiny eyes - you know he's wise
A pig of another hue.

Bristley hair and tusks that share
The work of being brave
You'll know real soon, the name of the tune
"I'll be nobodys slave".

Those tiny feet that look so neat
Are fast and tough as steel
He stands erect to better check
The territorys feel.

The tail will raise the eyes will braze
The dangers are immense
His heart is strong, he's seldom wrong
When it comes to self defense.

He's natures child there in the wild
He's not the placid kind
Unlike the rest, he has been blessed
With a difference of mind.
