Frog
FROGS
Betty Jean Skufca 1982

Frogs, bogs and hollow logs
Dragonflies with wings
Of jeweled light in airy flight
Above the water rings.

Green scenes with aqua sheens
Water nymphs so fair
With emerald eyes, misty sighs
And waves of flowing hair.

Cool pools, where nature rules
And frogs come out to play
The still lagoon reflects the moon
Where water lovers stay.

They always know where lilies grow
To form the fragrant beds
In that embrace, the frogs retrace
The patterns in their heads.

Frogs, bogs and hollow logs
Light streaming thru a tree
A lovely place, the water space
Come be a frog with me.
